Can’t make concrete plans

So the plan for this morning was to have a leisurely start, get up and dawdle through breakfast and then head down to Recherche. But……

Around 6am the winds picked up a bit, then a bit after 7am the anchor alarm on my phone went off 😕 turned on some switches and then headed up on deck to see that we were slowly dragging in a southerly direction towards another boat on a mooring.

We started the engine and idled up towards our anchor while we got sorted to recover it and get going for an earlier than planned trip south.

Heading south we looked at the forecasts, the winds we were seeing weren’t matching the forecast so we decided to go into Southport and see what it was like in there, anchored off the township and had some breakfast.

Anchorage was a bit Rolly and wind didn’t seem to be dropping so we decided to head across to Micky’s instead, we got here late morning after a lovely reefed sail across the bay.

Walking up to the lighthouse

We then setup the dingy and zoomed across to jetty bay (where there was no jetty 🙂) and walked 4km to the old Cape Bruny lighthouse.

On the way back we glimpsed LaGecko in the distance

LaGecko is in the V of the trees, about 6km away

We then settled in, put the diesel heater on. Had some dinner. Watched a program on prime and we were both in bed about 7:30 after our exercise filled day 😊
