New year’s Day escape
With the New year’s celebration over and done with, we threw the lines and escaped to Eggs and Bacon bay for a few days away. The trip west past Arch rock and Huon island was very rolly and anchoring in the protected bay was lovely

Boxing day motoring
Straight after Christmas day we motored down to Rabbit island at Dover for a few nights. We finally got around to blowing up my Advanced Elements AirVolution kayak, this is a drop stitch kayak and is a very rigid build, and is great to paddle around, I’m very happy with it.

Family Christmas on LaGecko
For our last boat Christmas day in Tasmania, we had mum, Sharon, Phil, Simone and Holly down for lunch. It was a beautiful day and it was great to have everyone around together.

Painting the masts
The masts were painted yesterday, the guys sanded them, cleaned them and built a tent around them to minimise dust and over spray After painting they are now awaiting the hardening of the paint

Returning home
