After six days in Eden we were fed up with the wind and decided to head up to Bermagui, we met the owner of a Cavalier 37 called “All the Stars” in Kettering about a year ago who recommended visiting here.

We left Eden at 11pm and arrived in Bermagui at 6.30am after a very lively motor/motor sail, docking in berth B46 at the Marina, it sooo nice to be able to get off the boat in all wind conditions.
First impressions of Bermagui were how slim the entrance is, after studying the chart for days beforehand, I thought I knew what it would look like, but then coming around the northern end of the headland at the entrance I thought wow this is tiny. I thought we would have time to think before worrying about our dock, but no the dock is 400m from the entrance l, the whole harbour space is about 500m x 400m, a very sweet space.

Bermagui is a beautiful place, truly a everything within walking distance sort of place, the local pub serves great meals, two good bakeries, one dealing in sweets, pies, basic breads, the other in the really great sourdough bread and the cinnamon buns were ๐.
This is another place I could live in if I had $1.2 million for a house. While we were here we had an overnight visit from Talwyn and Jane, they too liked Bermagui and we’re looking at local house prices, we had a lovely time with them, a great lunch at the local pub and then a seafood feast for dinner, they headed off Tuesday morning towards home in Brissy arriving on Friday evening.
The coastline around here is stunning.

We really loved Bermagui, it is a lovely space with everything we wanted in easy walking distance, also some lovely walks just for walking sake.
Being in the marina for twelve days was an awesome chance to relax as well, after over a month of high winds and being on anchor in high winds it was as nice to feel safe for a few days.
Sadly everything has to come to an end eventually, time to move on.
