Finally back out on the water

So after a 2-month ordeal in getting our fuel injection pump serviced and back on the engine, we have left the dock. We spent several hours just running the motor through its paces, making sure that it’s behaving itself, running between 1500 and 3000 RPM motoring around Northwest bay.

We ended up anchoring in Alexander’s for the evening and had a lovely meal with Eva and Duncan on LaMaris

This morning we got up a little late and a dingy tide across to Sykes bay and walked up to the House of Whisky and met up with a friend who works there Michael.

It was wonderful to hear him tell the story of some of the whisky that we were tasting, definitely a place I would recommend visiting if you like whisky and are on bruny island.

A motor by of The House of Whisky off-shore

Next we motored down to Great Bay and anchored off Get shucked for a yummy oyster and french fries feast

Kaz, boat car and LaGecko in the distance

Lastly we motored across to missionary bay and anchored and settled in for the evening

Today we decided to motor across to Cygnet, walked into town to stretch the legs and did a little shopping and then headed back to the boat

This morning we decided to head back to Kettering, but first headed ashore to buy some new seasons apples.

On returning to LaGecko we returned the outboard to its storage spot on the rail, hauled up the dingy on the davits and then hauled up a very dirty anchor and headed out back to Kettering.

On returning to our dock, we washed down the dingy, mizzen deck, aft steps and anchor, plugged into shore power and recharged our batteries
