Hobart Adventure

Although it was mostly a calm night at the casino anchorage, very little sleep was had due to the little waves slapping under the transom (our cabin) making a booming noise inside the boat.

However we were ready to embrace the morning with a dingy tour poking in and around Derwent Sailing Squadron and Royal Hobart Yacht Club marina’s then following the shoreline via Battery Point and into Sullivan’s Cove Hobart. We checked out the free public dock for accessing and berthing then arranged to stay there for a couple of nights……AMAZING!

Daz dropped me off here and I enjoyed the walk back to Sandy Bay where he picked me up in the dingy.

We had a very good docking experience and settled in quite quickly.

A group of Daz’s workmates came for an afternoon chat/tour of the boat followed by dinner next door at Fish Frenzy with three other friends Ally, Gaz and Jimmy. We topped it off with ridiculously good Ice Creams from Van Diemens Land Creamery operating out of one of the punts besides Mure’s. Sooooo good.
